Zujie Shi, the founder of Bargain Wholesale, was born in Fuqing, Fujian Province, China. In 2002, at the age of 24, he quit his job as a teacher and went to Tonga for a living with only a few hundred dollars, working in a small trading company in Tonga.
After several years of hard work, he overcame language barriers from a dock Porter and a supermarket employee to a supermarket manager. In November 2006, due to the unstable political situation in Tonga, his personal safety was at risk. Therefore, he left Tonga in 2007 and went to Samoa with his wife. In Samoa, he created Zhicheng Investment Co., Ltd. to engage in small-scale import and wholesale business. After decades of development, the number of employees has grown from four employees at the beginning to hundreds at present.
The industry involves import and export trade, food wholesale, Noni juice production and sales, building materials supermarket, Trepang and jellyfish breeding, Auto Parts and maintenance, chain supermarket. Bargain wholesale, trusted by manufacturers from all over the world, acts as an agent for the world’s major brands of food and has obtained the exclusive distribution right in Samoa.
